I was previously part of the CMRI at City of Mary in Rathdrum, Idaho. Before that, I had brief involvement with the mainstream Catholic Church, SSPX, FSSP, and years prior, the Southern Baptist Church. My time within all Christian groups was less than 5 years in total and most of my adult life has been outside of any church. My motivation for joining wasn't because I had looked into Christianity deeply. Rather, I see the problems with our society and I thought the church was a refuge from that. Christianity isn't at all what I had made it out to be.
I intentionally want to remain anonymous to avoid doxxing from any current members of these groups.
I am no longer a member of any church. I believe that orthodox Christianity 'co-opted' certain religious impulses in humanity and turned these into an imperial institution in the 4th century. Christians tend to want to label and demonize all outsiders ("heretics" or "apostates" or "spiritual but not religious"), and I therefore refuse to answer the question: What are you? I'm working on my own development independently of any church.
I respond to all emails that are well intentioned.
